The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic made it impossible to convene in Monterey, California in late April. The Summit initially aimed to bring together 100 people from all over the U.S., Japan and the Republic of Korea, and we did not want to exacerbate the spread of the pandemic. We feel a deep sense of responsibility to the residents of Monterey, our STEM community, and the countries you represent.
In light of the ongoing pandemic and related restrictions on travel and in-person gatherings, as well as containment and closure policies, we decided to host the event virtually and to expand public participation in the Summit.
You can view the virtual schedule here.
The Summit on Women’s Leadership in STEM will take place as a virtual event from October 19-22, 2020 (October 20-23 in Asia).
There is no attendance fee for the event. All sessions are open to the public, but registration is required.
You may register for the event via the Registration page, which will be added to this website soon. Please check back shortly.
The Asia Foundation is committed to an environment free of harassment, discrimination, and threatening or disrespectful behavior.
