Biography

Catherine Kaseri Ohura is CEO & Executive Director of the GHIT Fund, a Tokyo-based international public-private partnership fund for global health R&D, funded by Government of Japan, life science companies, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Wellcome. Previously, Catherine worked in the pharmaceutical industry in Japan and the U.S., at such companies as Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) and Kyowa Kirin, in executive roles including, but not limited to clinical development, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, project and portfolio management, commercial operations, and customer experience. As Global Lead/General Manager for the BMS Network of Women (B-NOW), she drove global business performance by fostering diversity and inclusion. Catherine loves spending time with her family (husband, two boys and a dog) and traveling the world.
